The Chef at The Wakefield Inn & Restaurant
Christina Nicastro
Executive Chef Christina Nicastro first became interested in cooking at the age of 12 when she began baking and decorating cakes. When she turned 17 she began cooking at Langdon Place, a retirement home, in Nashua, New Hampshire.
While attending Nashua High School, Christina was part of a two year culinary program where she learned the fundamentals of cooking and baking. Christina continued on to Newbury College in Brookline Massachusetts where she received her Associates Degree in Applied Sciences, Culinary and her Bachelors Degree in Culinary Management.
While studying at Newbury College Christina worked at Villa Banca in Nashua, New Hampshire, where she interned under Executive chef Doug Lunn. While working for Chef Lunn as Villa Banca's Pastry Chef, Christina learned and discovered her love for Italian baking and Italian cooking as well mas plating.
Christina later returned to Langdon Place of Nashua as their Nutritional Food Service Director, where she put her management and culinary skills to good use.
In May of 2013 Christina's family purchased the Wakefield Inn & Restaurant. Christina enjoys creating new menu choices and incorporating all of her homemade creations into the ever-changing menu at the Wakefield Inn & Restaurant.
Christina continues to wow our customers on a weekly basis! In addition to putting out each and every meal single-handedly, Christina has catered several weddings, bridal showers, and many, many birthday, anniversary and engagement celebrations. We continue to book weddings, host monthly wine pairing dinners and paint nights. We looking forward to continuing to provide great service and great food in wonderful atmosphere.
